Overture-verkosto – avoimen ja monimuotoisen partion edistäjä
Overture-verkosto on epävirallinen partioyhteisö, jonka tavoitteena on edistää avointa partiotoimintaa sekä rohkaista Euroopan partiojärjestöjä kehittämään toiminnastaan aidosti avointa kaikille lapsille nuorille ja aikuisille. Verkosto keskittyy edistämään erilaisten etnisten ryhmien, vähemmistöjen ja vammaisten ihmisten pääsyä partioharrastukseen mukaan.
Overture-verkosto tekee läheistä yhteistyötä maailman partiojärjestöjen WAGGGS:in ja WOSM:in Euroopan osastojen kanssa. Verkostoon ovat tervetulleita johtajat, jotka ovat kiinnostuneita monimuotoisuuden edistämisestä partiossa. Verkostossa on mahdollista jakaa ajatuksia ja käytänteitä eurooppalaisten partiojohtajien kesken – vuorovaikutteisuus ja toisilta oppiminen ovat verkoston työmuotoja.
Verkosto kokoontuu vuosittain viikonloppuina maaliskuussa ja lokakuussa. Verkoston jäsenmaat järjestävät vuorotellen tapaamisia. Tapaamiset koostuvat erilaisista workshopeista, keskusteluista sekä vierailuista. Overture-verkostoa johtaa verkoston valitsema ohjausryhmä, johon vuonna 2010-2011 kuuluu neljä jäsentä eri Euroopan maista. Verkoston puheenjohtajana toimii Jelle van Limbergen Belgiasta.

Overture Network – promoting openness and diversity in Scouting and Guiding
The Overture Network encourages Guide and Scout associations in Europe to open up the associations to people originating from ethnic and other minority groups and Guides and Scouts with disabilities and special needs. The participation of children and youths with different backgrounds is based on the principle that Guiding and Scouting is open to all people.
The Overture Network works in close cooperation with Europe Region of WAGGGS and WOSM. The Network is open to Guide and Scout leaders interested in working on the topics of diversity and disabilities. The Network wants to bring together the views and practices of those who are working in the field of diversity – interaction and learning from each other are key elements within the Network.
The Network has two annual weekend meetings, in March and in October. The meetings are hosted by associations being part of the Network. The Overture Network is guided by a steering group consisting of members of the network. Years 2010-2011 the steering group consists of four members and is lead by chairperson Jelle van Limbergen (Belgium).
